Lib Dems encourage London Colney residents to attend Community Day
Newly re-elected Liberal Democrat District Councillor for London Colney, Tony Lillico, and Leader of St Albans District Council, Paul de Kort, are urging residents to join the council’s London Colney Community Day on Wednesday 20th May, to raise any issues they are experiencing.
The event, organised by St Albans District Council, will take place at the Caledon Community Centre, Caledon Road, London Colney, AL2 1PU, from 3pm to 6pm. It’s family friendly and open to everyone living locally, and you can drop in any time.
Whether it’s a concern about housing, query about local support available or question about a service run by the District Council, the event will provide an opportunity to raise this with representatives from the council, charities, local police, Citizens’ Advice, and of course, your Lib Dem team who are determined to address the issues that matter to you.
Tony said:
“We Lib Dems have made our priorities clear: we’re committed to championing London Colney and protecting the vital services on which our community relies, to ensure everyone who needs it can access housing and other support.
“Community Days are a brilliant way of finding out about the services that are available, as well as raising any concerns or questions you may have. And hearing from you is a vital way for us to ensure we’re delivering for London Colney.
“So if you’re around please do come along, for what’s set to be a great afternoon and opportunity for our community to get together.”
Paul de Kort said:
“Developing local services lies at the heart of the Lib Dem approach, including by championing community initiatives like this one.
“Whether by improving access to social housing or investing in community facilities in areas like London Colney, we Lib Dems are committed to delivering for local residents. So if you want to know what support is out there, what services you can access, and hear more about the ones we’re championing, this Community Day is a perfect opportunity.”
