Lorraine Kirby has lived in Marshalswick for 31 years and was inspired to become a local councillor by the community spirit shown in the area during lockdown. With a background in marketing communications and international trade, Lorraine has a special interest in local housing, green initiatives and culture. When she’s not working on helping Marshalswick and Jersey Farm be the best they can be, Lorraine can be found baking bread, travelling, and singing with a local community jazz band.

John Hale and his family have lived in Marshalswick for over 20 years. He has been a parish councillor since 2007 and is Chair of Sandridge Parish Council. Since 2017 he has been the county councillor for the area. When not acting as a councillor, John is active in the St Albans Quieter Skies campaign and has a keen interest in environmental issues. For relaxation he enjoys gardening in an organic manner.
