Councillors at the ''Becoming Us' exhibition at St Albans Museum

The “Becoming Us” exhibition at St Albans Museum is a celebration of the African Caribbean community who helped shape our city.

Among many items and photographs exhibited is a suitcase that belonged to Councillor Jenni Murray’s grandmother who came over in 1958, the uniform her mum Pastor Pearl Roper wore when she worked at St Albans Hospital, and a photograph of Jenni to celebrate her becoming the first female black councillor in St Albans.

The exhibition will run until 30th of June 2024. You can find out more by clicking this link https://www.stalbansmuseums.org.uk/whats-on/becoming-us
