Tory agency to advise Labour

It gets more and more bewildering trying to work out the difference between the Labour and Conservative Parties. Now Gordon Brown has appointed Saatchi and Saatchi to be Labour's ad agency - they of course achieved fame by propelling Mrs Thatcher into power back in 1979 with the "Labour isn't working" poster.

But then Mr Brown just hosted Mrs T in Number 10.  With all this cross-dressing, voters must be really confused as to where Labour and conservatives stand. Meanwhile I am pleased just to stick to a party founded on principle and Liberal philosophy. As my party membership card says, "The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity."

All our policies are bench-marked against this clear statement of values.  We know where we have come from, and we know where we are going.
