London Colney Garden Village Consultation

We the undersigned

  1. Note the ongoing consultation taking place in Hertsmere District regarding the building of a garden village around Coursers Farm and Salisbury Hall.
  2. Note that the proposed village will be joined to London Colney but that no consultation is taking place with London Colney residents in St. Albans District.
  3. Note that any development will have a major impact on the transport infrastructure around London Colney which is already overloaded.
  4. Note that the boundary between St. Albans and Hertsmere runs through London Colney, with McDonalds, the Holiday Inn Express and Mosquito Museum all in Hertsmere.

Call upon Hertsmere borough and St. Albans district councils

  1. to work together on strategic developments in the London Colney area and ensure that residents on both sides of the border are effectively consulted on any proposals
  2. to jointly work together to address existing issues affecting the transport infrastructure in the London Colney area.

Ridiculous that’s St Albans Councillors and residents have not been given the opportunity to view the plan nor to be consulted regarding this massive plan that will impact on the residents of London Colney & Colney Heath and the infrastructure of St Albans itself.

I am very shocked at these secret proposals.more houses yet again, little thought to the infrastructure. The highways are incapable of managing/maintaining the roads. You have to wait 3 weeks to see your local GP, 2 months for your dentist!!! Shocking proposals

Seeing that the Govt have bashed SADC around the head for NOT consulting nearby Authorities about our forlorn Strategic Plan, let us NOT let Hertsmere off the hook.

In the name of democracy I request the right to a full consultation on the proposed new Garden village come city proposed at the Bell Lane roundabout. How many additional schools will be built with it? Will St Albans get its own hospital and additional GP practices to cope with 4,000 to 8,000 more people and families?

Funny that St. Albans Strategic Plan was deemed inadequte for failing to consult with neighbouring Councils!!!

Thank you for making sure we get a chance to discuss this huge project which would impact hugely on our villages.

The area is constantly congested with traffic without adding more, it can take 45 minutes to get from Smallford, colney Heath to the M25 moterway on a week day as it is, without adding another 4000 to 8000 cars.

I an concerned about the extra traffic that will be put on to already crowed roads network around and through London Colney.

The trains from St Albans and Radlett are over crowded already.
